Best Sound Engineering/Production Courses in the World?

Post by will kinsella »

Hi

I am going to be starting a sound engineering course in September. While looking at this i am tempted to study it abroad as music has restricted my ability to go traveling. I am also keen to DJ somewhere else.

I was wondering if you guys would have any thoughts on what courses worldwide would be good to attend. If i stay in Dublin i will be attending the sound training centre in Temple Bar. That is a really high standard so i will only be looking at something at a similar level. I know there's a lot of crap out there so i also want to be careful. Thats why i came to you guys

Some of the cities i was thinking about were:

New York - I love NYC
Chicago
Detroit
Amsterdam
Berlin
Frankfurt
Barcelona
Madrid
London
Paris
Rome

Of course i would be open to anywhere. Eastern Europe/Asia wherever. These are just ideas. Thankfully i dont have any ties apart from music itself. The course would also need to be in English. I have pretty good conversational Spanish but thats it.

If it has any bearing my style is of course Techno/Minimal/House and I am doing Sound Engineering for this purpose.

Appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks a mill

you could look to the SAE course .. but you need to do the whole 4 years thing.. not the 1 year course. Thats only standard stuff. Thats the only school/college i can think of
