First solo work on sinergy-networks by Lazzich a.k.a. Sergey Lazarev,. Veteran of the label catalog through his contributions as remixer as well as a member of the duo Leavemotte alongside with Matvey Andreenko who were in charge of sn038 release. Lover of the frequencies from old Soviets synthesizers, is tangible in his aesthetic a taste for a tough and mechanical impulse, but not necessarily cold. Mybe the fact that he is nuclear engineer and coming from a city called Elektrostal near Moscow, also helped to define his work.
In total we have five incisors cuts: a remix of "Clear blue" by The Suffragettes, plus four cuts where Lazzich claimes the key elements of minimalism, a deep repetitive sound, with cyclical structures and few resources wisely employed . All is addressed from a perspective that looks at the early days of this movement but with a actua¡l and futurístic projection.
His production is characterized by the use of harsh and sharp industrial sounds, which however could loosen a good dose of sensuality and tranquillity, not being exempt at the same time to a clear invitation to an intelligent dance. A dance of syncophated rhythmic founded in padded loops that unleashes flavourings of enveloped and dense dub with layers of devastating funk and within its perimeter there is space for care arrangements in the form of ephemeral micro-sound components, vaporeds synthss, voices ingeniously sampled and atmospheres.
The Suffragettes captures well the essence of Lazzich, and especially his taste for lying between hypnosis and the more decisive groove, symbiosis in which the Russian producer moves himself naturally. The accuracy and abundance of detail in Lazzich´s music recommends a good listening with headphones, that's one of the keys to stepping into his personal vision and renewing the synthetic, technosih and twilighted dub …. Primer trabajo firmado por Lazzich, de nombre real Sergey Lazarev, para Sinergy-Networks. Veterano del catálogo del sello gracias a sus aportaciones como remezclador así como integrante del dúo Leavemotte, junto a Matvey Andreenko y que ya firmaran la referencia 38. Devoto de las frecuencias de viejos sintetizadores soviéticos, se palpa en su estética el gusto por una pulsión ruda y mecánica, aunque no necesariamente fría. Quizás ser ingeniero nuclear y proceder de una ciudad llamada Elektrostal, cercana a Moscú, ayudaron también a definir su modo de trabajo.
En total tenemos cinco incisivos cortes: una remezcla de "Clear blue" a cargo de The Suffragettes, más los cuatro cortes en los que Lazzich reivindica las claves fundamentales del sonido minimal, un sonido profundo, repetitivo, de cíclicas estructuras y escuetos recursos sabiamente empleados. Todo esto abordado desde una perspectiva que mira a los primeros tiempos de esta corriente dominante del techno, pero con una proyección decididamente actual y futurible.
Caracteriza su producción el uso de sonidos ásperos y cortantes, de aspecto industrial, que sin embargo pueden llegar a desprender buenas dosis de sensualidad y sosiego, no quedando exenta al mismo tiempo una clara invitación a un baile inteligente. Un baile de rítmica sincopada fundado en loops acolchados que desatan aromas de envolvente y denso dub, arropados por demoledores bajos marcadamente funk, y encuyo perímetro también hay espacio para cuidados arreglos en forma de efímeros micro-elementos sonoros, vaporosos sintesizadores , voces ingeniosamente sampleadas y atmósferas.
The Suffragettes capta muy bien la esencia de Lazzich, y sobre todo su gusto por situarse entre la hipnosis y el groove más decisivo, simbiosis en la que el productor ruso se desenvuelve a la perfección. La precisión y abundancia de detalles en la música de Lazzich hace recomendable su escucha dotado de unos buenos auriculares, esa es una de las llaves para adentrarse en su visión personal y renovadora del dub sintético, crepuscular y technoide.
