Brian Kage is a deep techno producer/dj from Detroit who has
been on the way up for a few years now. Deep, mellow, funky,
driving, and passionate are all words that can attempt to
describe the sound of Kage. With renowned cuts on labels such
as Azure, Lumina, and his own labels Beretta and Beretta Grey,
Kage’s reputation for amazing production and deep
programming precede him. We are pleased to present his first
full release on D Records, "Invaluable Advice".

TRACK BREAKDOWN:

"Roots"
Imagine yourself at a techno beach party on an island. You’ve
been up all night and decided to take a nap. You set your alarm
for 6 am and at 5:57 the track from the main stage slowly wakes
you up, and it puts you in the perfect mood to enjoy the warmth
of the rising sun, the beautiful music, and your awesome friends
that you are on a well-deserved vacation with. This is the
soundtrack to that moment.

“Less Complications”
A creepy sample opens up this track, lending the air of a weird
ex-boyfriend calling up his ol’ girl to just remind her that he
didn’t really ever want to be with her anyway. A chugging
bassline and two organ-like stabs soon come to dominate this
late-night jam. The estranged couple bump into each other at
the club later that night. Tension ensues, the dynamics of
emotional and sexual freedom post-relationship are explored,
while “less complications” provides the ambience.

Here's some of the feedback we've received....

Adam Jay (Azure/Monoid/Primate)
"Both tracks are great but i love less complications... definitely
gonna be one of those hypnotic headnodding tracks for the club."

Greg Gow (Restructured)
"Nice deep dark stuff, my fav is roots...8/10"

Taho (Ovum/Delsin/Lumina)
Less complications:
Great minimal and atmospheric track. I love the effects all along the track. It has a very cool dubby touch this way. It's darker, I love your sound lately. Very good evolution.

Roots:
Yeah baby, I love it!!!! Got this awesome maurizio sound and your minimal and darker side at the same time. I love the chords made of the basse in the second half. Lots of influences in this song, a bit trentemoller I just thinkg it's a great song! Will play for sure.
