It sounds & act like a kick... But it isnt ...

Hello , i m very fan of Bern s productions.

He got a couple of tracks whit a strange sound, it s in the place of the kick. it s not a kick, but it s acting like a kick...
My question is , somebody know why is this sound acting like a kick .
My self , i think its because the most active frequency s in the sample are the most important frequencies like in a kick , like 70 to 200 hz something plus the tick in the high frequency s ...plus bit comp
En it s a sound whit short decay...

Is there somebody else whit other ideas, please!

It's acting like a kick because Bern wants it to.

There are no rules as to what you use as a kick. I've made a kick out of a plastic bottle been hit with a wooden spoon.

Bit of a strange question!
Its just somethin hittin somethin else.U could pitch down a fart and layer it with a hardcore sneeze and burp and somehow make a kick out of it if u really wanted to.
