Unlikely minimal is becoming the new dance, the production have to make move the people on the dance-floor. Personally I was loving much more minimal movement three/four years ago, there was much more feeling in it. Nowadays I see two main stream: Techno and House influenced by minimal sounds. I think that the worst thing is that some years ago there was much people just listening to Minimal and also the market was more listener oriented, so that many new people come close to electronic music and techno,
now most of production are more dj-oriented with few details for personal listening and a biggest accuracy for the dance-floor. Mainly I think that minimal is losing imagination and creativity and it's becoming more and more a "standard" a "way to do".
By the way it is a general analysis, it's hard to say what is what as I like the Derrick May definition "It is what it is" and I think it wil keep on being like that. The important is that it is.
hope to not be misunderstood, my english is not so good to speak such like that
