damn, it looks even more sh!t than last year ! Come on, for the last 3 years miss kittin, jeff mills & richie hawtin, ha what an imagination. Justice/Ed Banger french hype...yep, antipop is cool, flying lotus, shackleton, mills & banks. But yeah the off festival should have a lot more to offer. Hope the beach party organisers will work it out with police & new mayor of bcn !

Narod Nikki last year was amazing! worth the trip alone... was expecting something like that this year as well
the festival does matter.... no Sonar = no Sonar after parties.... the less quality there is at Sonar then less interesting artists will be making the trip there for the other stuff that goes on imo

as i said before, primavera has a pretty amazing lineup. and its in barcelona.prenzlauer wrote:I agree, it's not so much about the official sonar events. With the beachparties gone though, I don't really see the point.
Please post alternatives in this thread! preferably somewhere with the winning formular of sonar: warm/in a great city/near the beach/loads of great music

i went last year to primavera.... excellent festival. very down to earth and the crowd is a bit more normal.... mixed crowd, young - old, ravers -rockers... the electronic acts last year were fairly decent. first time they put some good focus on electronica... some acts last year as a comparison were Ivan Smagghe, Dominik Eulberg, Justice, Luke Slater, to name a few.grave wrote:anyone been to primavera? whats it like? im seriously thinking of doing that instead.
worth checking out
