Surgi wrote:I like Maetrik a lot! So far always bought his releases, that is those I can find... I have now the new album on treibstoff and 2 or 3 ep's. The best track on the new album is that with the dark voice in it. Very deep freightening track
Dark voice... hmm. are you talking about "Absorb You" ? ... if you are, thats a collaboration between Maetrik and myself. was a lot of fun to make!!!

maetrik rocks. rarely a mp3j set goes by that his stuff doesn't make it in.

as far as minimal music goes, c'mon... cycles, tns-3, thickening, et al? maetrik just plain does great music, and has enough minimal to be applicable to this site. and you know everyone on here steps it up whenever they play out.

tres cheers for the maetrik.

brian does great sh!t, too.

yeah, i got exposed to maetrik on ironbox, the same as snr. aneurysm. i also heard his ep on immigrant about the same time. "unstructured" is still one of my all-time favorite tracks. definitely a teacher.

brian, your stuff is great, too.

i fully and wholeheartedly agree with you. There's no doubt in my mind that maetrik is minimal, but far from the ordinary imo.

thanx! so where's my artist thread? .... hehe ;) ...

speaking of genres, you guys should also watch out for his electro moniker MARIEL ITO. You already got a little taste of his electro qualities on the COLOGNE & BACK EP ... but his coming eletro trax on SCSI AV are just brilliant! ... thats for all you who like to branch out a little :)
