@patrick
In general i liked the idea with the scratched records, he showed this in our club (ego) too. But at this time i already found a more interesting way of having a even more interesting effect.
Instead of treating records with cuts and tesa... i just used the last endless loop of jamaica-pressed 7" vinyls.
Its increadible how funny sounds you can find there without doing anything to the vinyl.
Since they have the worst press-quality, you have everything from massive bass, crackles, clicks to sweeps and oder nice ambience-sounds.
And if you use them without the puck in the middle, you can play them excentric, which has the effect (apart from that it looks odd), that the loop changes totally.
try it with serveral 7" records and mix them together if you have the chance, you'll be surprised.

i agree...brinkmann is up at the top of my favorites.
his set on www.paxahau.com was great to see live,
especially the pure confusion of his intro.

brinkmann rules big time! his noise/crackle set with the cut-up records still sounds awesome, and his techno set continues demolishing, even after i've seen his set at least 5 times. and now there is a very interesting new development; he now plays live sets together with his wife, tusia(TBA), and that is just massive...real mixed-up weirdo minimal techno, they gave quite a show here in lisbon a month ago. check it out if you can, hot tip!
