looking for some recommendations of some sh!t u actually use... :)

the output from my soundcard headphone jack isnt cutting it

i just got the akg k701 and I dont know whether I should invest in an amp either, i have a 1814 soundcard.... so anyone with any responses this would help


thanks for bringing this up again, but i dont think people use em hear?

i have the beyerdynamics DT 990 , i don't understand why u need an amp for your headphones u should have the hp input on your card.

The DT770 have an impedance of 250 Ohms, which make them quite quiet. I use them this way though, inbuilt loudness limitation takes care of my ears. :)

Are you sure? because my dt 770's can be pretty loud, i'm using them in combination with an emu 0404 soundcard though... I always thought they had an impedance of around 80 Ohm :P

Edit: never mind, i should really hang out with my gear more often: I just realised I have an DT770 Pro :roll:
