The Danish label for top-notch minimal house & techno proudly presents a sparklingly talented DJ and producer from Denmark. His name is JACK ROCK.

Jack is rooted in a profound and geeky love for the technical and experimental side of sound technology. He has a university background in both sound theory and interactive sound design – and besides the oomph-oomph-oomph-ness he has also created sonic environments for both art installations and theatre.

Today he is making his moves both as a DJ and producer in the post-minimal techno scene where there is plenty of room for trancy elements. He has a strong focus on the rhythmic side of things but likes to keep his productions and DJ/Live-sets vibrantly musical, brimming with interlacing tones and harmonic elements.

Up until now, Jack Rock has released two great 12” s on WIR, one on Treibstoff and also a track on the Various Artist compilation “4 In A Row Part 2” on Tic Tac Toe, last summer.

A: Formation Flying
This is a great melody driven track in the typical Jack Rock vein. Minimal goes melodic maximal, phunked up with lots of emotional feelings, making this track both a sure dance floor blower, but also nice on the I-pod, computer or whatever goes for a home stereo these days. When the main melody kicks in, it’s definitely time for the closed eyes and trancing away into the night..

B: Ice Queen
Jack shows off even more of his melodic mastery in a plethora of stringed melodies, good drum programming and tons of emotional feelings. Track works as great on the floor as the other track. It has already proven it big-time-rocking credentials during extensive use in Jack’s live sets.

DJ Feedback:

Mr. C (End Recordings):
A: Formation Flying - Good solid grooves, nice bass, cool melodies, rich pads, what more can a DJ ask for? On heavy rotation. 9/10
B: Ice Queen - Celestial accciiieeeeeed. very nice indeed. Early, late, or even last tune of the night. Very nice. On heavy rotation. 9/10
One of TTT strongest releases to date in my humble opinion. In the box.

Marcel Janovsky (Treibstoff / WIR):
Formation Flying is a great track. I enjoyed playing it at our party.

Jussi-Pekka Parikka (Frozen North Syndicate):
Nice stuff.

Reynold (Trenton Records):
I SIMPLY LOVE the new TTT, melodic and emotional, and great production too! Will play FOR SURE.

Jeff Bennet (Kung Fu Dub):
Lovelly modern oldschool organic Detroit! Will def be playing this in the mornings!

Till Von Sein (Trenton, Morris Audio):
It’s superb! I really dig the Formation Flying track.

Pheek (Archipel):
Nice EP. I will play the second track for sure.
The Danish label for top-notch minimal house & techno

Renato Figoli (Claque / Trapez):
I like it so much! Great work!

Freska (KarateKlub / Stil Vor Talent):
Jack has his own sound. He sounds like new Koto. Both sides are charming!

Chymera (NRK / Ovum):
Formation Flying is one of the best tracks I've heard in a while.

James Dean Brown (Narcotic Syntax, Perlon / WIR):
Thanks for the tracks, really enjoyed the blend of forward-driving, yet sensible grooves and surprising U-turns, of intelligent rhythmic development and harmonic manoeuvres. Formation Flying is my fave.

That's right, it has been released today, even though it seems the vinyl shops are a bit behind.

Feelin' this one... like the Detroit-ish vibe to it but not sure which side I like best... needs to play on a big system to feel it properly.
