Due to the massive success of the first 3 parties, Satellite 31 has been moved from Friday to Saturday @ Egg. Created by Dutch mega-promoters Electronation (who stage parties across Europe and host an arena at the massive Dance Valley festival), the idea behind Satellite 31 is to promote the Dutch dance-scene by bringing Dutch DJs/producers to well-respected clubs in Europe’s major cities like Barcelona (Club 13), Berlin (Maria am Ostbahnhof) and of course London (The Egg). Satellite 31 will hit London again. Tonight’s line-up with Funk d’Void (Soma, UK), Phil Kieran (Skint, UK), Argy (Poker Flat, GER) and Tron (Electronation, NL) guarantees some electronic dance music of the highest level plus London institution and continuing the international feel and programming of Satellite 31 parties we welcome Ministry Of Sound Radio DJ and resident of Going Places, Tania Von Pear and special guest Paulo Jardim from Brazil and the Going Places resident DJs.

Lars Sandberg, also known as Funk D’Void (also known as Francois Dubois), is a veteran in the international dance-scene. Much in demand as a DJ around the world, he’s a critically acclaimed producer as well, with two albums to date – ‘1997’s ‘Technoir’ and 2001’s ‘Dos’ (both on Soma) – not to mention a string of killer singles and remixes. His last album ‘Volume Freak’ (2004) is a very electronically-based with the usual melodies and strings, but with more depth and vocals. The emphasis on melody and vocals has got to have something to do with the fact that the Glaswegian-born Lars now lives in Barcelona. However, as a DJ, his sound can be described as very jacking-techno and loud. In his sets Funk D’Void just wants to freak his audience.

Phil Kieran's music contrasts darkness and light, is both uplifting and unsettling. His discography is now as impressive as his collection of passport stamps, with Mute, Skint, Soma, Virgin and many more all offering 12"s and remixes over the years. At the moment, Phil is gearing up for more releases including 'I Think I'm A Monster' on Cocoon, and the debut single for his own label Flying Cabbage. Flying Cabbage looks set to be one of the essential European electronica imprints as the first release, Phil's own massive 'Pinhole of Light' single demonstrates, backed up with an almighty Jesper Dahlback remix. Like Kieran's DJ sets it will be, as always, a unique take on modern underground dance music.

For this night we’ve got company from Germany. Argy, born in Greece, lives now in Berlin and releases on labels like Poker Flat, Liebe Detail and Cocoon. His aim is to produce club music that people will remember. He represents a deep and serious sound, with tracks like his huge ‘Love Dose’ and the recent ‘Unforgettable Virgin’ smashing their way into the record boxes of the world’s biggest minimal techno DJs.

The Dutch input in the night will come from Tron. He will represent the Electronation sound this night. Tron is an upcoming DJ with regular gigs in Amsterdam’s hottest clubs like Paradiso and Sugar Factory. He is not focussed on one specific style. Tron can be called a ‘crowdteaser’ - he likes a lot of different styles of electronic music and brings that diversity in his sets.

Lastly, we want to give you a sneak preview to the line-up for the December edition of Satellite 31 in London. We are very happy to have Agoria playing for us. There’s more to it than that...with secretsundaze’s James Priestly, Blackstrobe’s Arnaud Rebotini and our very own Terry Toner joining him for his official ‘At The Controls’ UK launch party. Furthermore, we would like to tell you that for our fifth anniversary, Electronation resident Mason produced the official ‘Electronation Five Years Anniversary’ Mix CD. This CD is a landmark for the past and the future of Electronation and will be launched worldwide on October 13th.
