Hello,
As first timers on mnml.nl, we wated to post some of our tunes for you to have a listen.
We call ourselves Opuswerk. The goal being to sound in between Extrawelt and Christian Voigt studio one's and to be able to build a nice nice live act together. We are using A macpro running Ableton Live 6.
Tracks can be found here :

As always, feedback would be more than appreciated, from composition critisism, to plain technical ones.

I really enjoy your tracks. I do have one complaint though. The Kicks.
Your kicks seem distant and hide back in the mix. If you could beef the kicks up on those tracks and bring them up front they would be devastating in my opinion. You have extremely good tracks but without a strong kick they would lose the dancefloor.
Just my opinion. Stronger kicks would put those on my dj rotation for sure.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Thank you very much for your comment!
we'll do and make then come out more in the mix...
Although I don't really know how to. They are already sidechained to the bassline as to have more headroom. Could you precise please what lacks in them?
Cheers! and keep on the loo for our tracks, a lot more are coming

Are you compressing the kick? If not you could try that and bringing the volume up a bit. That doesn't always work though. Maybe just use an eq and boost up 60-90 hz a bit Just so you can feel the THUMP of it a bit more.Opuswerk wrote:Thank you very much for your comment!

Thanks for the advice.
So basically we changed our kick sounds, and now we synthetize them with linplug Alpha and then add compression, distortion to taste.
Have a look at our virb. new tracks are up as well.
