Listen to the man, layering is the key. Layer one shorter, punchier kick, and one deeper and wider. Eq, compress, and voila!
That's the basics of course, usually you have to add more layers, analyze the frequencies, and get really into it. And use your ears of course.

don't know about minilogues kick but the idea of using kicks and 303s got me inspired to make something simple.
