Post by oz_music »

hello everyone,im looking forward to make a kick to sound deep but punchy with plastic low end.my example is minilogue,i know they use tb-303 and of course i know that is a difficult kick to make from scratch but if you have any suggestions about how to find/make this kick i would apreciate it.its been almost a year since i ve started looking for those kind of kicks but im not even close to it.please help your new minimalist friend!!!!

Sample the kick from a minilogue track, or spend time with synthesis and drum machines.

play it, use analyzer to see the frequency's ....

then find some kick witch sounds close to it, add some synth bass + a lot of eq to fix frequency and see whats hapening, lol

spend few hours or more :P

but you need analyzer to compare the kicks ... bla bla

yes, minilogue have nice kicks.

i think they use two or more kicks layered up. one is a klick and the other is like a deep pump. so you could look for two samples that fit these atributes and layer them up.

or you could use a synth. a sine wave and correct envelope settings for volume and pitch should get you there.
