It's out! The August issue of The Wire features my (ahem, cover) feature on none other than Ricardo Villalobos. In the post now, and on newsstands very soon, I would assume. I'm going to attempt to finesse the transcriptions of my two interviews with him summer 2006, in Spanish, and summer 2007, in English) and post them in their entirety. But you probably don't want to hold your breath for them, either.

Just received my copy. Cool insight into Ricardos life as a producer, his busy schedule and his past.
I really found the part interesting about how Ricardo is in a tough spot to play new tracks and unreleased tracks for fear of interneters and or trainspotters ripping sets, posting tracks and playing low quality unreleased tracks from his sets. Really too bad.
I felt the article was a bit short as I would have liked more info about who he is, what makes him tick, and his future plans (besides the club of the future). Regardless, it was well written and makes me want more.
Nice work Philip!

Really, yes. This goes EXACTLY as I was trying to explain myself in this threadI started. Ric had to say it publicly so that we can be heard...gillsans wrote:
