Hi folks,
I run a tiny digital label in the States. As such, I do everything myself (artwork, "promotion", etc.) and usually promote the releases on forums and MySpace, with a write-up of the release and accompanying artwork image.
So far, it has "worked" and the label is slowly and steadily running.
My question is:
How do I promote without being spammy?
Any and all feedback ("good" or "bad") is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.
While I understand that most of the sites are geared towards networking, there also lies the question of what to contribute besides: "here's my latest release if you want to buy it".
I guess I can always start some threads for discussion.

Hay Sean. This is Mike, Im actually in Denver also. I dont think I have met you yet altho if you saw me youd prolly recognize me because I have been at pretty much every mnml headliner this year Royale knows me. I went to college with Radioactive (james/Theory/Element105.
Anyways I dig your tunes and am always eager to hear your tracks when they are announced on myspace. I finally got a job so maybe one day I might buy the ones i like because your Lunatic fringe is on lockdown on SLSK
P.S.-You should make a Netlabel!!

M,
Thanks for tuning in...
01: I have plans for a netlabel, but first I need to have a website!
The netlabel will be all free downloadable tracks, mostly ambient stuff.
02: I myself am not down with slsk; I would rather buy an artist's music legit.
