External soundcard for Laptops.

I need an external soundcard that should be connecte to an mac book pro. Firewire audio would be great. I have bin looking at fireface 800 but im not shure if it got the right connectors for my use. At the moment i have an Audiophile 2496 in my computer. Its connected with RCA from my mixer to RCA-in and out to one of the channels on the mixer. Im not an audiospecialist so i dont know if this is possible with the fireface. If it is pleas answer my post and tell me how this could be acomplished.

RME make dope cards. The Fireface 800 or 400 will do the same as your current 2496 card+more.
