It's not the same, and probably won't be for a long time. In this studio we have both Mac and PC, but everyone uses the Macs. A MacBook will run Windows better than any Windows machine. One cat even uses a Sager at home and prefers the MacBook!

There is a reason Macs cost so much. They are pretty much headache-free..
i get your point, most mac users swear by it, but after seeing it crash 3 times in a row i changed my opinion on their superior stabillity.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

agreed. i LOVE mine.
and as much as i love to do that whole osx thing a few things keep me from doing the switch.
i know pcs too well and have too many odd little programs/pc only vst that i use on pc.
and as beautiful as the macbooks look EVERYONE and their moms have the same looking thing..(as with the ipod)

i actually love how anti-trendy non-bubbly white the IBM think pad looks. they look corporate and boring..but this is attractive for me when all the creative types around me are sucking apple cock.

boring? no way. i love the angular box design. its tight. The keyboard and mouse pad are slick as hell too.

My only complaint so far is that I don't have fire wire. I'm looking for a new audio interface.

Windows is sh!t. My Flat mate has an iMac and loaded windows on it. It only crashes in windows.

OSX is so much faster. it can crash mac's are computers at the end of the day.

I can't see how anyone could make music on a PC. I did years ago and it was a nightmare!

Going make and Logic was the best thing i ever did for my music. All my Friends say the same thing.

depends on your budget, i want a mac but i cant really afford one at the mo coz i have to pay council tax with a sh!t income

dual cores the thing at the minute, ebay sell some bargain laptops for around £300-500, that'll run ableton ok, but you'll need a good firewire/usb soundcard as built on ones are crap
