some more info about this one ..
Sunset06 Jens Lodén - Maximini EP
A1 Maximini
A2 Delete
B1 Stavöstranos Maximaxi mix
Sunset Diskos Presents Jens Lodén, maybe an unknown name to most, but he has been around for a while.
For example he released a couple of records for Dialog Recordings (Sonar Kollektiv) as Reunion a couple
of years back. Anyway Jens presented his version of minimal funk for us, and we fell Immediately for his feeling for
groove. Not to be forgotten in this context: Jens´ general background as a superb electric bass player in funk, jazz etc.
has contributed to his exceptional understanding of the groove and simple ness involved in minimal and funky techno.
So what we have here is two stunning examples of straight back minimal funk, presented under the disguise as tech house..
Jens presents his production in a unique style, really hard to describe or compare to other productions around , so you got to hear it for yourself.
Also we have on the flip a bomb remix by Mikael Stavöstrand, which takes the original to the deep deep limit.
Playing around with the funky grooves of the original the track crawls back and forth, building and building, playing around with that
freaky style of Stavöstrand. Mikael has been playing this remix in his live PA for a while and it always tears down the roof .. wherever he goes.
