Problem with that Cycling 74 thing is, that you don't have real knobs and sliders to work with.
Which I think takes away lots of pleasure of doing a liveact.

You mean the JazzMutant Lemur?
Hmmm, but you dont need Cycling 74 anymore to use it.
This has been changed since software update 1.6.
Now it also runs directly to midi and OSC.

And yes, having real or virtual sliders and knobs is indeed a personal preference.

I think one of the advantages is that you can build your own templates (and as many as you want) to control your software and hardware.

But then again, if you want "fixed" real knobs and sliders, instead of a modulair system, the Lemur is not for you.
