the beat repeat thing in Ableton? how to use well

Post by earle »

I can't get me head around this it seems all too random, any one know any tutorials etc? I get on ok with Glitch vst, and can get good control over it, but beat repeat seems to have a mind of its own. any tips or link to tutorials??

Beat repeat works as a random waveform LFO . In interval you choose, it will ask the random generator Repeat? or no Repeat? If it is repeat, it will repeat the CURRENT sound. So if your current sound is a silence. It will repeat the silence. With Offset you have to put it on the right place. 4/16 for example would repeat the area of snare/claps.
