have been offered to buy a pair of used tannoy for a good price, has anyone here any experience from them? good/bad?

I listen to them while testing boxes when I had to buy new ones.
I would not even listen a CD at home with tannoy speakers, they lack in clarity in hi-range, I don't like their bass neither.
Have a listen to them anyway, you may like them, speakers are so subjective, what' good for me can be bad from you and vice versa.
I ended up buying ADAM P33 A.
