hello, boyz and girlz and others!

anyone use motu ultralite??? or anyone work for motu company?
anyone actually be part of the developement team for this machine?
anyone works for m-nus and want to release me?
anyone...ok, i'll stop..

seriously,
i'm planning to buy macbook pro and a new converter.
(i've used for a long time ibook G4 and emi 2/6 and now they're all dead.)

if you have some experience with this little dude,
please share your exp. so that i don't pay 560 euros for nothing!

it seems to be the best solution so far.... :roll:

can i connect 2 laptop at the same time?
(i saw 2 firewire connection on the machine)

try doing a search for "motu ultralite". several people here give it high praise.

its very nice. i like the ease of use and the fact its so compact. the sound is surpurb. the software wasn't buggy and i've never had to upgraded the firmware or mixer software. the construction is extremely rugged except the knobs seem like one good drop and your s.o.l. the next step up is the rme and thats another $300-400 more. your call. i'm not sure on the hooking two computers up to it at once via firewire. i'm pretty sure its used to chain more ultralites in series.

yeah, actually everywhere i got the same answer:

go for RME or Ultralite.

I'm pretty sure that i'll go for Ultralite, i don't think RME's hyper quality conversion will do something for my poor monitring system anyway.
even 2 midi I/O is very attractive for RME, i don't think that count 300 euros
more...

but did anyone try to connect 2 laptop on one Ultralite??

i'll try to set up a two laptop config. but i surely can't afford two converters...
