The original mix of "Turn Down The Lights" has a brilliant Moodyman deep
jazz feel with stark minimalism and tons of soul. On the flip Jackmate turns
in an evil remix that takes you to the deepest darkest places iminaginable
with slick minimal drums, rolling bubbly moody basslines, dubby key hits and
the vocal hook riding nicely over the top. Think Carl Craig meets

The second installment of Philpots "Motorsoul Trax" series features tracks from Playhouse's Rework, Perlon/Playhouse/Dessous's Soul Phiction and Neustadt 36. First up is Rework's "Pretty Wild" a smooth jacking track that works tightly packed minimal beats with funked up keys and a catchy vocal hook. Definitely a must for fans of their Playhouse work. Next up is Soul Phiction's "Scattered Brains" a dark twisted minimal house cut that sounds like a cross between Josh Wink, Ritchie Hawtin and Michael Mayer.
