Post by dsat »

hi peepz

i was wondering if any if you could recommend me some experimental (non-techno) netlabels, i'm not so up to date with the netlabel thing ;-)

i've got a few experimental tracks kicking around on my HD for ages
i want to put them out somewhere, open to suggestions

thanks

Too many bad ones yes, and not enough good ones. But the same can be said about dance music netlabels as well.

As for the original question:
My favorite "netlabels" for experimental music are usually just websites that host live performances from my favorite experimental improvisers. ( examples: www.audiotong.net www.l-m-c.org.uk ) but I understand that you're looking for netlabels to release studio-produced tracks on. In that case I would suggest something like www.con-v.org, or if you're planning on releasing something more electronic sounding www.2063music.de or even the www.thinner.cc sister label Autoplate

I have to disagree. I find that there are allot of great netlabels for dance music. Depends on your taste I guess. I remember my first time discovering netlabels a few years ago and I was actually blown away by how great the music was. However, I look at music as an art and not so much a science. SO I SAY SOMEONE'S GARBAGE CAN BE SOMEONE ELSE'S TREASURE!!!!!

JUST MY TWO CENTS!!!
