This sort of points out the fact that its not all about the software you use.

i can't stress enough how truly lovely trackers are to work with. i got renoise for 50 bucks and i can hardly go a day without it. it is just such a different way of working with sound.

he never used buzz for his productions......is just that the developer of buzz is a really good friend and he putted his site link for his program.....so the thing that holden writes with buzz is just a myth...

his main programm is cubase.....as for the vsts......i don't know much of them but for sure kontakt

cheers...
your friend is lying to you. or james is lying to your friend. go get the new UK edition of future music and see james holden give a walk thru of buzz in video (on the dvd)

ill bet you the retrigger comes from battery. esp the HH in the holden rmx on Crosstown rebels. you jsut load your sample, choose the loop points, and tell it how many times to loop. really easy... but sounds dope.

holden is the extreme efx nerd, but he is also a tweaker who spends a lot of time getting whats in his head into a computer. good luck.

hes not my fav, but i do ahve respect for what hes doing.
