For me Kontakt is the best sampler out there. Fantastic onboard effects, you can do a whole track inside Kontakt if you want. It's semi-modular, this application is super deeep. It even has a scripting language built into it. It really pays off to read the manual of this baby if you want to use it to it's fullest potential.
"If Pacman had affected us as kids we'd be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music."
Well, if one should go by the interviews James have given in the past, he used Buzz for making the main part of his tracks and Cubase for polishing, time stretching, etc. Don't see why he would lie about using a freeware app... Apparently has moved on to Max/Msp now.john_masti wrote:one think that a friend of mine told me who talks with james is that......
he never used buzz for his productions......is just that the developer of buzz is a really good friend and he putted his site link for his program.....so the thing that holden writes with buzz is just a myth...
his main programm is cubase.....as for the vsts......i don't know much of them but for sure kontakt
cheers...
