Retrieving a possibly overwritten ALS file? (Ableton-file)

Post by loulou »

Hey folks

I was organizing all my tracks yesterday, and today i can't find one of my fav tracks. I think i maybe overwrote the file with another track by accident cus when i open the file its another track.

Im on a Macbook pro but unfortunately i didn't turn on the time machine, and I'm too much of an asshole to have made a backup.

So is there any possible way of retrieving overwritten files?

Thank you very much

Unfortunately I think the only way to retrieve that file was by using TimeMachine or some other backup software if it really is overwritten. TimeMachine really is a lifesaver, you should turn it on immediately ;)

I once lost over 400gb of data because I didn't want to make backups and then my HDD died -squint
