That can include second hand price.

Cheers

what is a good monitor for you?

if you need it just for internet surfing and producing i would say 500 are way to much.
you can get good 24' monitors for under 300.

the professional monitors are not exactly better if you just use them to surf the internet and watch movies.
i would say if you are not in any way into the whole photography and graphic thing, a monitor for 500 just is overkill.

if you go for under 300 look for samsung. another tip is, dont get a 16:9, look for a 16:10 its just more space for working. the whole 16:9 is only for watching movies.

also the pricerange around 500 is not good, you basically get the under 300 monitors with some useless features like many usb hubs, second hdmi input, integrated speakers ..
