The Age of Love parties are a true success story. They started 5 years ago in the Charlatan in Ghent and feature a musical trip through our electronic past with the best classics and old skool sounds.
Next to the sounds, a lot of attention goes into creating a sublime atmosphere: dance acts, dance platforms, lasers and more remind the public of that special feeling on the typical raves from the ‘90’s.
Straight from the start the parties were sold out time after time with legendary Belgian dj’s as Cj Bolland, Zolex, Yves Deruyter, Fly, Franky Jones, Oliver Pieters, Franky Kloeck, Phi Phi, Eric B, Tofke, Fred Nasen, Marko, Laurent Warin,...
The next highlight for Age of Love was their own stage at Feest in het Park in 2010 and from that moment on Nik from Charlatan and Quincy from Soul Phonic joined forces with K-events for 2 exclusive XXL editions per year in the beautiful Vooruit. Again, despite the bigger capacity, the room was completely filled up on each edition with all the hands in the air and smiling faces at many moments.
As we all know, time flies when you’re having fun so here we are, the 5th anniversary of Age of Love.
So for one time only, Age of Love will take it even a step further and will exclusively touch down in the Artcube/ Galveston venue. With this venues industrial look and feel which will be fitted with heavyweight sound-systems, you will surely be catapulted back in time. Back to those days where the love vibes were flowing all around and we danced like there was no tomorrow.
For this first milestone in the history of Age of Love no less than three rooms will await you.
First up is The Big Love room where the more trancey sounds from before will boost through the speakers with international acts as Kai Tracid, Future Breeze and Jaydee. All responsible for timeless classics as respectively ‘Dance for Eternity’, ‘Why don’t you dance with me’ and ‘Plastic Dreams’. They dominated the dance-charts in the ‘90’s and will be dominating the Big Love Room on March 2nd. They will be joined by those Belgian talents that turned clubs as Cherrymoon, Extreme and La Rocca into legendary institutions.
In the Black Box those preferring old skool techno will be treated to a 100% vinyl set of a true techno pioneer in the form of Joey Beltram known from the masterpiece ‘Energy Flash’ on R&S and pivotal albums on Tresor Records. And also all the Belgian players in this room will dig deep in their techno collections for those timeless classics and unforgettable gems that will take you back in time.
The Endless Love Room finally is reserved for the aficionados of early house anthems. They will be brought to you by names as Sven van Hees who was at the forefront of the house scene with the radio-show ‘Liaisons Dangereuses’ at the end of the ‘80’s and labels as Koenie’s Willy Wonka and R&S’s Global Cuts. More house comes from Eric B who made his name in clubs as La Rocca and Who’s Who’s Land as well as Fred Nasen and Henk who were the residents of the infamous after-club Balmoral.
The Age of Love is back and now, for one time only, in this special venue which will obviously ooze that atmosphere from before more than ever with all the special effects and acts that you can imagine!
