Supporting an inventive collective of up and coming Italian producers the Circo Loco stalwarts specialise in bringing through the next wave of Italian talent under their ever-supportive wings.
Aen are fresh new Roman duo Nicolo Petruccioli & Alberto Pelosio, who have already been releasing on the likes of Black Rose Records and Multivitamins. Here their offering “Hack” manages to capture that early 90's house vibe with a perfect piano hook and a vital new twist on a familiar style.
Ario is Matteo Arienti from Ferrara with a DJ track record that covers all the major Italian clubs such as Cocorico, Peter Pan, Doc Show, Echoes & Contact. His super deep pitched down “Smile to Smile” rarely moves above 125bpm yet conveys a fierce driving groove with a techy feel. Perfect for dark rooms everywhere.
Methloud are another duo, Alfredo Somma & Alina Marculescu and their contribution here “Untitled Love” is a idyllic floaty summer house groove with a neatly worked vocal snippet.
Mallorca's Pepe Arcade is on a prolific roll right now and with “You” adds some dynamic upbeat techno vibes with a killer hi-hat to match.
“Canyon High” comes from Din-Dada resident Roberto Perotti, a smooth and rolling treatment overflowing with synths and chord stabs.
The EP closes with a hidden gem from the System of Survival boys, driven by an electric guitar main hook and a decidedly bouncy bass line, unconventional yet instantly classic.
