Rio Padice is back on Metroline Limited with the first part of his Twin Peaks project (the second one will be released on both 12” and digital EP at the end of June).
The Neaples based artist who gave us the stunning Road To Alberqueque EP delivers another very powerful four tracker showcasing his supreme ability in crafting some of the most effective deep house and techno around.
The EP opens with Black Lake, a dark and dubby techno number in pure Basic Channel style with its huge pulsating bassline and ultra crisp beats.
Ghostwood takes us to jackin’ house territory with its hypnotic groove, perfect material for the darker after-parties!
Snoqualmie is a similar beast, jacking with heavy drums and huge stabs. The punchy drums and the scattered percussions create a minimal yet very effective tech-house groover.
The closing number, Twede’s Café’ steps us the pace of the EP. Its rolling bassline, big stabs, hammering noises and its infectious house groove take us right back to the 90’s!
