[psdtl003] Duke & Duke – Charlie’s Gone Foxtrot EP

Pinksilver co - owner and visionary producer Markojux has joined up with long time keyboardist and producer Colin Snape to form Australia's latest force in house music, Duke & Duke.

When this pairing came together many studio sessions were spent in the hot Melbourne summer resulting in the deep, warm and sultry sounds throughout the EP.

“Charlie's Gone Foxtrot” gets you into the mood with its bouncing bassline, deep Detroit synth lines and metallic stabs. Tight drums lay the groundwork while a dirty bubblin' bassline plays big brother to the sweet sister synth lines featured within “Inside”.

Probing electronic machines and haunting sounds twist their way around the deep house sounds of “One For Joe” creating a dramatic piece for the early hours of the morning dancefloor. “Pilfer” is a look into the future of modern house with its funky basslines, catchy hooks and synth stabs staying true to house throughout.

Just when you thought it was all about house “Q Jumper” entangles around your mind with warped, wobbly basslines and a natural swing to get you dazed and confused in the early morning.

If you‘re looking for modern, intricate and addictive deep house music, you can't look past Duke & Duke's – Charlie’s Gone Foxtrot EP.

Tracklisting:

01 – Charlie's Gone Foxtrot
02 – Inside
03 – One For Joe
04 – Pilfer
05 – Q Jumper

DJ Feedback:

Alex Flatener (Plastic City) Thanks for the promo, I really like “Inside” Nice Track!

Dave DK (Mood Music) Loving “Inside” Nice chords in there.[/b]

Deepchild (Future Classic/Beef Records) I confess, I'm increasingly smitten with this little EP. Comparative to so much of the Australian promo material I regularly receive, this is head and shoulders above par - very much reminiscent of the finest from labels like Plastic City or Night Drive Music. The type of stuff that will remain in my record-crate for years. Proper, playable. Congratulations.[/b]

Estroe (Connaisseur Recordings) I really like the tracks, Especially Inside.[/b]

Jamie Stevens (Infusion) I really dig the Duke & Duke EP. Awesome vibes on that release! Q Jumper is a killer![/b]

Mark Henning (Freude Am Tanzen) Nice release - each tune's got a real nice groove.[/b]

Pawas (Spectral/Nightdrive) Inside - Nice deep, dubby track.... totally up my street...!!!Charlie's Gone Foxtrot - Nice phat bass.....groovy, funky sh!t !! Q jumper - Nice n lazy bassline...something i can relate to.. :-P

Someone Else (Foundsound) This ep is pretty solid. really well-made! The sound quality is smooth as ice.

Simon Flower (Pokerflat) Cheers for the EP, fucking love q-jumper! Superb laid back synth house. Title track & Q-jumper are the standouts for me.

Daniel Mehlhart (Kindisch) Really like the deep overall feel to it. my fav is "Inside" perfect for the early / late hours.
