What we're gonna do right now is go back. Way back. This latest release from System of Survival's fledging label really does do exactly what it says on the tin.
For release No.007 the DC10 duo delve way back into their past, to the Italia club scene of the early 90's, and come up with a release steeped in the vibe of underground parties and warehouse raves. The older amongst us will spot some choice samples that nod back to that era be it Chicago house or Detroit techno, but this track still keeps it's bassline rhythm firmly in this century and the deepness of the groove solidly in this seasons vanguard. Dark phat pads and a moody vocal sample intro help induce the atmospheric flashback. Close your eyes and lose yourself in the smoke. Accieeed!
On the flipside gypsy-king Nima Gorji slips in even more early 90's snippets, whilst stamping the track with his trademark driving beat. Jose Divina & Javi Murdok take a smoother and more tribal journey, introducing a couple of dreamy breakdowns and some lush pads and stabs. Deep and beautifully understated.

DIGITAL RELEASE ONLY – BONUS TRACKS

Italia '90 goes out to the IANUS71 family for the digital remixes. Autre bring in some classic Latino piano threads to push the track on a more melodic path. The DOSLive duo transform the beat into a traditional 4/4 rhythm and push the pace up considerably, whilst retaining the 90's house vibe. And hot new talents Outart neatly strip the track back before injecting a bouncy tech-house vibe bringing in much more London '11, than Italia '90. Fresh looks at a classic sound.
