As Berg Nixon, Detroit's Ryan Crosson walks in line with the elastic techno dub that has inspired him from producers such as Ricardo Villalobos and Troy Pierce. The A-side title track ''Box Escape'' builds up a melody that side steps bass tones and bendy lines with the middle of the dancefloor in mind. ''New York Minute'' swells and shifts in robotic darkness while ''The Depths'' and ''Abstraction'' rock the B-side to deeper corners of minimalism with distortion, shuffling hi-hats and haunting bell tones.
