============================================
** MUTEK_REC: 2 NEW TITLES AVAILABLE ON VINYL **
============================================

The first 2 vinyls produced on the MUTEK_REC label are now available.

EGG: Don't Postpone Joy EP (MTK_EP01)
While the first EGG CD released on MUTEK_REC continues to conquer new fans, this EP features a new unreleased track as well as 3 tracks taken from the album.
TRACKLISTING: Side A: Check Point (unreleased), Yema / Side B: Rouge de Base, Continuous Drizzle

"Presenting the funk-heavy, listener-friendly side of the renowned MUTEK sound [Š], Don't Postpone Joy is destined to bring the two producers the international success and prestige Akufen or Deadbeat have achieved, sound [Š]. While remaining glitchy, clicky and heady, the album has no shortage of dancefloor-conduciveness, and its lasting appeal rests in the succesful blending of tech-house with electro-acoustic experimentation." (Steve Lalla, Montreal Hour)

CRACKHAUS: Spells DisasterŠ (MTK_FAB03lp)
Taken from the 'Spells DisasterŠ' album, this double vinyl features 6 of the 7 tracks composed by CRACKHAUS for the CD.
TRACKLISTING: Side A: Accidentally Brilliant, Barberchop / Side B: Hee haw on see saw / Side C: I Like it Like That, Soggy Bottom Bass / Side D: Smashee Smashee
About Crackhaus' MUTEK 2004 set:
"Hometown heroes Crackhaus (aka Steven Beaupré and Deadbeat's Scott Monteith) had just released a record on the fledgling Mutek_Rec label and one understood the organisers' exuberance as soon as the pair took to their laptops. Dressed in overalls, red neckerchiefs and backed by tractor visuals, they produced a brilliant farm-themed set that occasionally sparked comparisons to Timbaland's more out there Bubba Sparxxx beats but was largely their own avant-country concoction. Tech-y, trippy and oozing rural and urban energy, they finally set-off the crowd, who started spontaneously cheering in the midst of their upbeat beats and funky licks. (Joshua Ostroff, Exclaim!)
