Greener Records was founded in January 2008 by Andrés Zacco. It is the place where he gives his vision about techno music. The label was created for the purpose of gathering the strong family of artists Andres Zacco shares with Lucas Mari, Franco Cinelli or here, Leonel Castillo, all of them who share the same purpose. Greener is influenced by sounds originated in Detroit and Chicago techno, creating its own powerful fusion of digital techno and trippy consistencies.
Those who know their Argentine avifauna directory, know exactly what species Leonel Castillo belongs to. The Buenos Aires-born Leonel Castillo is an icon of the electronic scene in Argentina, but still never fails to hover low, finding the most interesting winds. Always keeping the most refined style throughout the years, Leonel the crazy bird also produces under the famous epithet Boeing, but also under a whole variety of projects: Arnold Slab, Color Harmony, Myusyq, Pocket or with Dubjack, where he gives place to his most acclaimed Deep & Dubby Techno escapades.
It is extremely rare to be able to assist to one of Leonel Castillo's live flight performances. As he scarcely leaves his own studio, Leonel always brings new sounds that add up to his years of backed-up material - a genuine Ali-Baba cavern! A great follower of Basic Channel, Studio 1 and Chain Reaction, Leonel appropriates Ambient textures, blending them with Dubby rhythmics and Techno patterns - a bird's eye view on nature and landscapes most definitely.
In El Niño, reduced hats, droning groove, elegant synths, and the hypnotic voices of Der Himmel über Berlin are Leonel's key elements to a serious and straight masterpiece that perfectly translates his personal vision into sound. Lluvia de Estrellas takes us on a voyage through cosmic woodlands, clutching on the multitude of shuffled synth-lianas and leafing through its fantastic and grand breaks. Lucas Mari devellops a two-folds remix with a first part dedicated to a more ambient interpretation, while the second explores fresh and groundbreaking rhythmic patterns adopting some 2 step connotation. Follow the Shaman...
