i haven't bought a kompakt release in ages...
i just don't like their sound anymore
it's too damn commercial for my taste

I agree...you know they've lost their flare when John Digweed claims it his favourite label.

yeah, what a silly reply :lol:

i agree they release much more sh!t these days, all these 90's reworks like that last speicher + all the eighties 'covers', horrible stuff like 80% of köhncke, vocal sh!t like that build this city... BUT... still some great stuff too 8)

That's what i like about Kompakt, their wide scope. There are so many labels who only release one little style of music, while Kompakt does many and all in good taste (imho of course, it's all a matter of taste).

That last Speicher isn't a rework btw, but a re-release of 2 classics. And that Baxendale record is awesome, especially Mayer's mix.

the only Kompakt Pop record I really enjoyed was the first one: Oxtongue's Delight 8)
from then on when I see kompop I translate it to: keepaway :lol:

I don't really like this album either, but i must say he had some nice productions before. "303 room" on Kompakt was one of my favourites for a long time. Also on this album Raw sounds nice.
