TIC TAC TOE RECORDS
- the Danish label for high end productions in the minimal house/techno neighbourhood – is back with it’s 3rd release.

This time we proudly present an artist that truly can be labelled as one of Denmark’s upcoming gems – Theodor Zox. He has already released superior tracks on well-known net labels Textone and Thinner, plus tracks on Morris Audio and 3rd Floor Records – and mark his name, because you are bound to hear from this extremely talented gentleman again soon.

Theodor Zox age 28, was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he lives and works as a graphic designer. His love for music started at a very early age, when his father, a disc jockey of the 70's, exposed him to Jazz, Funk, Disco, Dub - and Kraftwerk.
Theodor got hold of his first computer and keyboard in 94 and immediately started out on his first musical experiments. Later that year he heard Basic Channel and Detroit minimalism on a local radio station for the first time – and a true musical calling was found. From then on he used all his creativity in exploring, experimenting and refining the minimal music.
In late 2002, with the birth of his son, he found new inspiration in music. His most productive period so far took of, and music wise he has now settled in the deeper end of techno & house minimalism, where harmony, texture and propulsive rhythm are the most important ingredients.

On this release Theodor presents 3 tracks plus a remix by Brian Aneurysm.

Red City is a nice deep track, with some additional clicks’n’pops and a nice theme going through.
The remix by Brian Aneurysm (Poker Flat, Ware, Sub Static, Iron Box Music) takes the track even deeper, and makes it a must play for late hours / mornings in the club, with it’s minimal house with trance elements.

Subsurface and Microbial Heat are both tracks that represent Theodor in full effect, with his very unique clicks’n’pops style. Micro, minimal, driven house with crackling rhythms and many layers of texture. Every time you listen, you’ll discover something new.

Tic Tac Toe Records has just begun. Our aim is a primary (but not exclusive) focus on all the interesting minimal house/techno talent that Denmark has to offer – with some high class remixing talents thrown in for good measure.

SO WATT VON SCHÖÖÖÖN!!!! Melancholische Flaechen mit sehr schönen Rewindeffekten auf einem immer von hintenrum kommenden Klangteppich. Was für eine Produktion - was für ein Klangerlebnis!!!!
