easiest way could be set abl grid to triplets instead of the standard one. than play around following the grids and maybe you'll find good spots where to write your midi.
second at all once you found your points i suggest always to write midi manually trough a controller with 0 percent quantize. try to be as more precise you can.. of course you'll make some lil mistake that normally delete that robotical feeling (this is the good part)
if you don't have drum machines with swing, this could be a way to follow that flow even though is a bit tricky.
''hydrogen'' was completely right talking about track delay. play with that on hihat clap and snare.
