vst questions

Post by bymitzanu »

Hello, i'm new here and i got some questions...
How do i create that punchy yet sublime bassline/sub? Do you use some vst-s to do it or samples? What about the drums especially the kick, do you use some vst-s to make it sound awsome and balanced or?

here is an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSK1-ue9eb0

Thanks a lot :)

Peace

The kick is a standard TR 909, there's some Lo Pass filtering on it which is why the transient doesn't have too much hi freq content. The bassline sounds like low filtered saw waves to me but I'm a bit high and drunk right now so, I dunno. There's lots of ways to separate kick n bass
