both i'm sure. - the blue has the drum sounds and acid bass tones vs. the red one is more user loaded sample based..

super super happy with my emx and er-1. All the effects except the delays are pretty crap but, and the kicks are sh!t. But alot of the sounds are mnml out of the box - very recognisable with a big chunk of minimal house/techno.

The most important thing about these boxes was that it brought me off the computer. Since buying the ER-1 as my first piece of gear, 18 months later I nearly have enough to go OTB. The full ITB workflow never really clicked with me! I'm 10x more creative within the limitations of gear. So the Korg's were a friendly introduction to hardware...

When I had an EMX-1, I actually liked the effects, esp. the lo quality reverb, I have a thing for less than 'hi fi' reverbs.

I have the ER-1, its a bit simple and effects sound like crap. But I love that melchior sound you can get out of it.
