Connecting KORG MS-20 CV Gate

Post by Philipp_Meiner »

Hi guys,
recently i've bought a Korg MS-20, and i've bought a dopfer "Dark Link" (http://www.doepfer.de/home_e.htm)
I'm trying to make it to work out, trying to send midi signal from the sequencer to the korg but it receives just one note, and seems like it reads the contrary of the notes (when notes are playing in the sequencer the korg sound turn off and vice versa).
Anyone?

You probably will need some kind of trigger converter, find out what kind of triggers the Dark Link puts out, and what kind of triggers the MS-20 needs. The MS-20 is designed to receive pitch messages as hertz per volt rather than the more common 1V/oct (which the Dark Link probably puts out).

Find a converter that will do both for you, maybe try Kenton?

Isnt the Korg MS20 S-trig ? (negative trigger)
i cant remember.

if so you will need the S-trig cable to go with the Dark Link
