I Need A Replacement For Cubase. Not Ableton Either

Post by kenada »

So I'm not really happy with Cubase, and before I make the purchase I'd like to try out another App.

What I don't like about cubase.

I want to be able to put a send effect on the return channel of another send.

I have been working in this way for years, and have found that this is how I build my sounds, and effects. I don't want to have to change this, as I'm very happy with this style of work.

So what else is there for a PC user?

ableton is not an option either, it's good for many things, but not anything precise in my opinion.

Any Ideas?

What about Pro Logic? Haven't used it myself cause I'm very happy with Ableton Live.

direct x and vst w/ built in adapter

i used cubase for years and switched to sonar about 4 years ago, although i may go back to cubase(better hardware support, midi controlers and what not)

i found sonar made some things a little easier. but that was a few years ago, cubase has probably changed too

there is always pro tools m powered and pro tools le as well

You can do this in Cubase.

Mackie Tracktion has a real nice interface. And it hosts vsti's.
