For Sale Moog Rogue + Midi Jack Mod

Post by hydrogen »

I picked up a couple monosynths (SH101, Vermona MonoLancet) recently and should downsize and clear out some more debt.

So, I'm selling the legendary Moog Rogue + MidiJack Midi. $800

  • Its been restored by cleaning out all the black foam that was deteriorating all over the inside. Faders are all lubed and move flawlessly.
  • Keyboard works and plays great.
  • Its really in great condition, except for 1 key has a crack in it which was glued back together. (barely noticeable, but I will take pictures because its going on eBay if none of you guys want it...)
  • Has the Original MidiJack installed as well(We didn't cut any traces on the board when doing it). There are some caveats to the midJack, like you can't have midiJack enabled and use the keyboard at the same time. Also midijack requires you send notes transposed at +5.
  • Replaced the red light LED with a cool black light LED.
  • Still can't believe i'm selling this. :( lots of care and attention went into it... but i just want to clear the rest of my debt.
This is me and my engineer after we just added the midijack...

The monoLancet is an amazing little synth in my opinion. My last EP actually features is pretty heavily. I used it in a slightly unconventional way to get those sounds, mainly using the LFO to modulate the pitch to obtain FM like sounds...
You can hear it here: https://soundcloud.com/opuswerk/kw006-o ... -kahler-ep

It can also sound like a pretty "standard" monosynth, and i believe skudge have used it quite a bit too.

good to know... really into skudge and your tracks sound really good. I'll eventually be combining it with a small modular set up but good to know you can get interesting sounds out of it as well as solid bass.

Thx
I read somewhere there's a dock connection to integrate the lancet in a modular, so i'd check that too if you plan on going the modular route. I also have a 101 on lease here, but i still end up using the lancet more, mostly because of the second oscillator and because i'm not 100% into the sound of the 101 filter. They have both very different character though. So don't expect something like a 101 or else you'll be disappointed.

i love the monolancet for its simplicity and rawness... I love the square... if you hook it up to a daw or midi controller you can use the modulation wheel to change the pulse width... and I love that there is a way to enable/disable velocity control for different parts. (just wish there was a dial for it and didn't have to be switched on via cc...

Anyways... I use it on all my bass-lines for my newer tracks. 8) I just got the sh101 yesterday so i don't know 100% ... but i just love the power that the monolancet has.
