I guess I will replace the tubes. I did bought a gold-plated cable as someone was suggesting on the korg forums but hiss did not drop.

Did you notice thie hiss to be lower with the ECC803S?

It absolutely will. Trust us. I actually did a pretty in-depth test when I changed out my tubes; replete with oscilloscope snapshots and waveform analysis yada yada...but I deleted those files moons ago.

blitz, in the machine set all your samples to +12dB (or whatever the setting was called...). this way you'll push the hiss low enough in level ;)

and yes upgrading the tubes makes hell of a difference

I basically bought this for the price and also for not being the typical machine with 808/909 style samples (you already can load them if you want anyway).

I really like it. Very funny machine. Very easy to start making cool stuff, and loving the modulations and effects so far.

The problem I'm facing is the hiss sound. I know this is a common problem from these korg boxes. When I'm playing live I almost forget about it, but when I record stuff and hear after it's very noticeable and if it pump the volume up it's even worse.

Has anyone with an electribe solved that issue?
I've owned all the electribes, for the SX, get new tubes, the stock ones are the problem.

Replace the tubes with some decent JJ ones and this hiss will go away.

Also ESX users who like techno need to subscribe to Andy Garos channel on you tube he's a bit of an ESX techno master.
