Cubase 5 Vs Soundcard

Hi

My friend is haviing a few problems with Cubase 5, he cant seem to get it to choose his soundcard and no audio is coming out. I was wondering how to get to the relevent options window so I can help him out? I have never used cubase before so dont know where to find it!

has he got the soundcard working with any other audio software?

Devices->Device Setup->VST Audio System->choose the sound card driver on the first drop box.

just had this exact problem the other day, usually works with device setup reset option, or correcting the audio ins and outs, but this time i had to re-install cubase entirely. Strange. Maybe solar flares could be the cause?

Thanks for the responses. @Tonedef His soundcard is working with all other audio devices, windows media player etc.

@Ingemar I hope this isnt the case with my friends system as I am not familiar with cubase and sounds like this could be tricky!
