what's your weakest link in the studio ?

they always say your studio is always only as good or as bad as the weakest link in your studio.
so my question is : what's the weakest link in your studio,
and with what/when are you gonna replace it ?

The arrival of my new mixer (Midas Venice F32) last week made me go at how weak my little soundcraft Spirit FX16 really was in comparison to the rest of my studio.
I slowly upgraded a lot of my gear in the last 2 years, and bought a better soundcard, better monitors, some expensive outboard FX,...
but hell, I was running it all through this very average mixer.
What was I thinking ?
Getting a good quality mixer made everything sound so much better instantly it was almost absurd.

so, what's your weakest link ?

My cheap and crappy Mackie mixer. Hopefully replacing it with an Allen & Heath Zed R16 or something in the nearish future.

Motivation.

In terms of equipment, I could always say I could have bigger and better things, that's potentially an infinite greed/gear lust but realistically, the weakest link for me is me and motivation. A lot of the time I'm just not interested.
