a hot tip since you have the fireface is you can use the matrix to monitor the analog sum back through the digital connection and swap between two sets of monitors.
if you get it use it creatively and not just for summing. well not just mix summing. i love summing groups like drums, recording and then moving along with the project. you can really get alot of space in there
i think there is still something to be said about analog mixing, because summing is only 50% of the magic of analog mixing. the other half is the faders not being stepped digitally. that said as long as you set midi boundaries for faders you can get "enough" resolution in a digital mix where it still sounds tight
Swears by his and also another recent RME convert. He is using this along with the slate VCC plugins as well as the d-box.
