There is no video to a Bruno track, the one he posted is by Portable and that is a 909 no? Brunos kicks sound nothing like 909s to me.

It would have made sense if the original poster put a link to a track by Bruno.
there is a link to a bruno vid above and it sounds definitely like an overdriven 909

your link obviously isnt a 909

have to look if i saved it. normaly i record it and use it in battery cause the midi of the mbase sucks.
but who knows how he processes his tracks or eqs his bd.
i can ask him if you like he's a mate of mine.

he's very much an ableton guy, one of the first to embrace it years ago, but i'm not sure if he's using hardware now.

i am new here and i also used the search function :)
So my problem is i want a better kick out of my Mbase11, cause i am not satisfied with it yet. I dont know what i am doing wrong.

I just saw Bruno Pronsato Live and he is just using an MBase and his kick had much more power than mine.
He also just uses one kick for the whole hour of his live act, if i am not wrong.

But maybe can u tell me how i can synthesize a kick like that one from Portable Finde me
without samples just with synthesis.

Peace

Where is the bruno link?

I cant see it on my browser?

got it now.

ha... I was searching that original post for ages for hidden links.

When I see Bruno at Fabric he was using the mbase.

Great live set too.

then it probably is an overdriven mbase on that vid.

ive overdriven both the 909 and mbase side by side through the same desk and it definitely makes them sound more alike.

I cant listen right now though and have the feeling that is going to sound more like a low passed 909 kick. Try it and see. I just remember that particular patch being like an 808, but I think I have changed it since I got the mbase.
thats exactly what this sounds like... thanks for posting.... where did you get this preset from? :)

I made it myself.

I have loads of presets. I'll post up some later on when I'm with my Mbase.
